HOAs are often ran by management companies; however, sometimes the management is conducted by individual Members within your community.
It is important to understand, the role of the Management Company or the Community Manager is to assist the Board of Directors with the operational needs of the HOA, which also includes the enforcement of Deed Restrictions. As a result, Management Companies or Community Managers are often disliked. Ratings are not the place to grind an ax.
When rating the Management of your HOA, a Homeowner Association Member should consider the following questions:
